Public Auction Rules and Policies
- All vehicles offered to the public must have transferable title and legal owner must be present with valid ID.
- All paperwork including the title for both buyer and seller will be processed according to the name on the driver's license. Said person must be present to sign all paperwork; NO EXCEPTIONS.
- A North Carolina Inspection sheet must accompany all vehicles offered for sale to the public. Each vehicle must have passed a North Carolina state inspection within the last 90 (ninety) days. (If you cannot produce a 90 day state inspection this vehicle can be sold to dealers only).
- Each person wanting to bid on vehicles must produce a valid driver's license and a $300 cash deposit to receive a bidder badge. These will be held by the auction company and returned when the bidder badge is relinquished back to the auction company.
- All visitors accompanying the bidder must be at least 16 years of age with valid ID and pay a non refundable $5 admission fee. The bidder accepts full responsibility for the actions of all those accompanying them including making sure they DO NOT BID. Bidding by a visitor will result in the loss of the deposit of the registered bidder.
- Vehicles offered for sale by the public and to the public must have the title and NC Inspection sheet turned into the registration office prior to the vehicle running through the auction. There is a non-refundable $25 registration fee that must be paid for at the time of registration.
- All vehicles sold "AS-IS" with no warranty or Guarantee unless stated at time of auction by the auctioneer. (Please pay attention to auctioneer announcements when vehicle is on the block.)
- All vehicles purchased by the public must be paid for with cash or certified funds unless they have been pre-qualified by the auction company.
- There will be an additional buyer's fee added to the high bid of each vehicle purchased. This scale is posted at the registration area. Any vehicle purchased prior to auction is sold AS IS and is subject to all auction fees.
- There will be a Seller's fee deducted from the sale price. This fee scale is posted at the registration area. Any vehicle sold prior to the auction is subject to all fees. Any vehicle sold prior to auction is sold AS IS and is subject to all auction fees.
- Vehicles will not be allowed to leave the premises until paid in full and proof of insurance is provided or a bill of laden provided by a tow company.
- If you are the high bidder and the auctioneer says "SOLD" you must pay for the vehicle immediately. Failing to do so will result in the loss of your deposit and being barred permanently from the auction.
- All vehicles must be removed by buyer or seller within 3 business days or they will be charged a $10.00 per day storage fee. All vehicles can be removed Monday through Friday 9am-5pm.
- Auction takes no liability for consequential, incidental, or contingent damages of any nature to any vehicle or personal property while on the premises. Vehicle owners take full responsibility.
- The auction does not act as agents for or represent the buyer and seller, but is merely performing a service for bringing the buyer and seller together for the purpose of a sales transaction. The auction is responsible only for the warranties and guaranties set forth herein. The auction is not a party to the contract of sale which is between the seller and buyer only. The auction management reserves the right to void any transaction or to refuse service to anyone.
